I love living in Glasgow. It is a small city but has so many exciting places to eat and drink with more opening every day. What Glasgow is somewhat short of though is places where you can go when you are trying to eat well, places you can get good clean food that not only tastes great but helps you feel great too.
But that could be about to change
This November Healthy Bear will open its doors in Glasgow’s Merchant City. Healthy Bear is the sister brand to the popular JellyBear dessert parlor (situated at the same address) which opened earlier in 2015.
In a juxtaposition Healthy Bear will focus on locally sourced fresh, healthy food as an alternative for breakfast, lunch or dinner on the move or at home as part of a healthy lifestyle.
The vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free friendly menu is crafted with organic fruit, vegetables and wholesome ingredients from specially selected local vendors and offers a range of fresh salads, hot broth noodle pots, wraps and smoothies among many other exciting bites.
With options to sit in at the Ingram Street eatery, take away or have your Healthy Bear delivered directly to your home or office via Healthy Bear partners Deliveroo,it’s never been so easy to enjoy nutritious, delicious food when you want it!
Development chef Sharon Murphy has focused on sourcing local produce whilest injecting the menu with fresh, vibrant flavours from across the globe. From South East Asian inspired street food from Vietnam and Thailand, to Moroccan and Lebanese spiced dishes, with each dish carefully measured with easy to find calorie content and nutritional information. Heallthy Bear aim to make eating clean, quick and easy to meet growing demand .
General Manager Sinead Henderson is looking forward to offering something different to heath conscious diners; ‘Healthy Bear is about offering quick, tasty but healthy food to people living and working in Glasgow. We offer sit-in dining, a quick takeaway option or delivery, so we hope to cater to anyone no matter how busy or time shy they are as well as offering corporate catering to workplaces and offices across the city’.
I can’t wait till November when I can visit Healthy Bear and see for myself just how healthy and delicious fast food can be.
