Regular readers of my blog may remember that last week I began a little photo series of my makeup collection which is stored within this handy little set of drawers from Ikea called the Helmer.
Last week I showed you all of my red lipsticks, this week it is the turn of the Pinks.
I was actually quite surprised by how few pink lipsticks I had, I definitely feel a shopping trip coming on.
This was one of the first items ever gifted to me. It comes from a company called Painted Earth and I absolutely love it. It looks like a gloss but it isn’t sticky, it is more like a balm in texture but it tastes minty, has a mild plumping effect and gives the lips a hint of pink and a lovely sheen. Perfect for a ‘less is more’ type of make up day.
I am sure all of you have one of these, if not you should. A makeup/skincare hybrid, it treats your lips while making them look plump and oh so juicy. I have 2 of these and definitely will pick up more.
This is the only pink lipliner I have, it is the only one I need. This lipliner goes with every one one of the pink lipsticks I own. As you can see it has had a lot of love.
I was shocked to see I had only three pink lipsticks from Mac but I do love the ones that I have and I wear them a lot. From left to right; Please Me which is a warm toned medium pink matte, Impassioned which is a bright coral pink in an amplified cream finish and Girl About Town which is another amplified finish but in a bright fuscia shade.
This lipstick is from a brand I have recently come across and you will find a review of a number of their products popping up here soon. For now I will just say that I am a big fan of this lipstick, a pink neutral with a lovely sheen which brightens the face and makes my teeth gleam.
This lipstick from No 7 is a real favourite of mine – as it should be, it was matched specifically to my skintone by No 7 who declared it my perfect lipstick. You can read more about that here.
This lipstick is a bit of a tease. With a name like climax, you would expect a hot provocative pink but what you get is actually a sweetly innocent dusky pink in a soft matte finish.
I know that this does not look pink in the bullet but when it transforms on the lips to a lovely neutral pink with a touch of berry. The formula is to die for, super moisturising yet somehow lasts for hours. For me this is the perfect, everyday lipstick!
So those are all of my pink lipsticks – what do you think? Is your favourite pink amongst them?
If not, please share your favourite in the comments below x
