Clarins Pure Melt Cleansing Gel
My regular readers will remember that back in December, I wrote about the Clarins beauty haul that I got for absolutely nothing!!! If you missed that post you can find it here.
Amongst the many products that I got that day were three standout skincare products; a facial tanner which I reviewed here, a hand and nail cream that I am testing now and Clarins' hero product, the Pure Melt Cleansing Gel.
I love a good cleanser and my cupboards are full of different types - from cleansing balms like the wonderful Eve Lom Cleanser which I reviewed here to oils, waters and pretty much every type of cleanser you can imagine. Until now though I had never tried a gel as I have mature combination skin and always suspected a gel would be overly astringent for my skin type.
I had read all the hype about this particular product, all my fav celeb bloggers rave about it but I just thought it would be wrong for me.
What a mistake!!
Let me tell you more about this remarkable cleanser. It comes in a tube which makes it really easy and hygienic to use. I squeeze a small blob of the honey coloured gel onto my finger tips then massage over dry skin. When the gel comes into contact with my face it instantly transforms to a light oil which effortlessly melts away every trace of my makeup and the grime of city life. It literally takes a couple of seconds then I either just splash it off or if I want to add a little exfoliation, I wipe away with a clean wet flannel.
What I love most about this cleanser is the way it leaves my skin looking and feeling. Forget any worries about a gel being drying, that could not be further from the truth. The first time I used the Pure Melt Cleansing Gel, I couldn't stop touching my face. Naughty I know but it just felt so incredibly soft. After a week of daily use, I could actually see a tangible difference in my skin. It was really clear, well hydrated and had a lovely glow.
So if you like me you have steered clear of gel cleansers thinking they might be too harsh for your skin, then think again and give this one a go. The Clarins Pure Melt Cleansing Gel is widely available for a very reasonable £20 for 125ml if bought from Clarins, with many special offers available online making it even more affordable.
Give it a try, it's highly recommended !!!

The Beautifully Disastrous
It is really lovely, I highly recommend it x
DeleteWell I'm sold! I've wanted to try this for the longest time but wasn't sure with the gel texture but you've completely sold me on this and £20 isn't the worst price either for a luxury brand. Great post. xx

I worried about the gel texture too but I am a total convert. Try it and let me know how you get on x
DeleteThis look beautiful! I love melting gel cleansers, I find them so much more comforting than regular cleansers. Have you tried using organic coconut oil? Works in much the same way but super affordable, 100% natural and multi-use :) mimi xx

I actually did a series about coconut oil and its uses for health beauty and Oil Pulling - I do really like it but this is a little special x
