Filtration

Expanded graphic showing two phases of filtration

Captures pollutants with HEPA filtration

It's not just the filter that's sealed to HEPA H13 standard, it's the whole purifier.¹ Dyson's advanced 360° HEPA H13 filter captures 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns from the air - keeping them sealed in.

Circulation

Dyson purifiers don't compromise airflow for purification

Dyson purifies a whole room - not just the air around the purifier. To purify large spaces properly, you need a combination of HEPA purification and strong room mixing. Therefore, we've designed our products with an air multiplier on top of the core filtration technology.

Air Multiplier™ technology generates the circulation power to draw distant pollutants into the machine, projecting over 290 litres a second of purified air throughout meeting rooms, hotel rooms and classrooms.³ Powerful circulation to purify an 2860ft⁴ space, equating to 290 sq ft.

Graphic showing CADR air circulation test method

CADR is not a measure of purification performance in a real-size room 1,008 ft³

An additional fan boosts circulation. Only one sensor measures air quality.

Graphic showing POLAR air circulation test method

Dyson's POLAR test goes further to measure purification throughout a real-size room 2,860 ft³

No additional fans. Nine different sensors to measure even-room air quality.

Key technology

  • Fully-sealed to HEPA H13 standard¹

Two phases of purification sit within our fully-sealed filtration and airflow system. To trap pollutants inside, removing them from the air you breathe. Giving you reassurance that what goes inside, stays inside.

  • Senses and reports

Detects airborne particles and gases, displaying real-time air quality reports on the LCD and MyDyson app.⁴

  • Hassle-free Auto mode

Automatically reacts to remove pollutants from the air, increasing airflow when it needs to.

Additional features

  • Easy filter maintenance

Changing the HEPA+Carbon filter is quick and easy, with automatic notifications for each machine on the LCD screen and MyDyson app.⁴

  • Cools you with purified air

Air Multiplier™ technology delivers powerful, long-range airflow to cool you with purified air.

  • 20% quieter

Acoustically engineered to reduce turbulence, so it's 20% quieter than the previous model.

  • Smart technology

Monitor and schedule purifying for each location with the MyDyson app.⁴ And control hands-free with compatible voice services.⁵

  • Draft-free backward airflow mode

Diverts airflow through the back of the machine. To purify the room, without feeling the airflow or cooling you.

  • Night mode

Perfect for peaceful working environments or hotel rooms. Monitors and purifies using the quietest settings, with a dimmed display.

Frequently asked questions

What level of filtration do Dyson HEPA filters capture?

HEPA is defined as a filter that captures 99.97% of particles down to 0.3 microns and is tested using standard IEST-RP-CC001.6. Standard EN1822-5 further tests filters for capture of 99.95% of particles of the most penetrating size, usually around 0.1 microns. Dyson HEPA filters pass both of these standards.

For reference, IEST-RP-CC001.6 is a test standard that covers basic provisions for HEPA (high efficiency particulate air) and ULPA (ultra-low penetration air) filter units as a basis for agreement between customers and suppliers.

EN 1822 is a specification used in the European Union which defines several classes of HEPA filters by their retention at the given most penetrating particle size (MPPS).

How many Dyson Purifiers do I need for my business?

Dyson experts are on hand to better understand your business environment. We'll advise about which purifiers will best suit your space and budget, as well as informing you about our latest offers.

What's the lifespan of the filter in a Dyson Purifier?

We recommend replacing the HEPA filter every 12 months (based on 12 hours a day of use) – so this may vary depending on usage and pollution levels. You'll be notified via the Dyson Link app⁴ or LCD screen when it's time to replace the filter.

Do I need to maintain my Dyson Purifier's filter?

No, unlike some conventional filters which require changing, washing and drying each month, this isn't the case with ours. So there's no time wasted without a working purifier. Our filter is quick and easy to replace – and you'll know exactly when, via the Dyson Link app⁴ or LCD screen.

Can multiple users control the same Dyson Purifier?

Yes, one Dyson Link app account can be used to control up to 15 connected purifiers – or an unlimited number of users can control a single purifier. It will only ever choose the most recent update. For example, if more than one person was updating the scheduling, the purifier will use the most recent change.

Our newest purifier technology detects and destroys formaldehyde, continuously⁸

Formaldehyde is a volatile gas that can emit over time from the wood and glue found in flooring and furniture. Dyson's latest air purifiers detect and destroy formaldehyde⁸, as well as remove gases and 99.97% of pollutants as small as 0.3 microns.

Why choose Dyson for business

¹Particle challenge by DEHS oil specified in EN1822 within a chamber specified in ASTM F3150. Tested in Max Mode at IBR US, for whole machine efficiency above 99.95%.

²We tested our purifier with airborne Influenza A Virus (H1N1) at an independent lab. After 60 minutes in the chamber, at maximum fan speed, the airborne virus was reduced by 99%. Real-life efficacy may vary.
